As a result of the EIA process applied for the activities included in the Annex-1 list of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation, if there is no objection to the realization of the activity, the "EIA Positive" decision is made.
The project owner of the projects for which the EIA positive decision is given; It is obliged to have the Project Progress Report, which includes the developments in the investment in the periods determined by the commission, prepared by the institutions/organizations that are qualified by the Ministry and that are not involved in the preparation of the EIA Report of the project, upload it to the electronic system and submit it to the Ministry audits.
The Project Progress Report is a report that includes whether the works and transactions carried out within the scope of the activity are carried out as specified in the EIA Report and whether they comply with the commitments. Commitments made regarding the activity in the EIA Report are evaluated in the progress report. The progress report is supported by the field of activity and photographs related to the activity.
There are two criteria that the company that will prepare the Project Progress Report should have. One of these criteria is that it has received the Certificate of Competence from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The other criterion is that the project to be reported has not prepared the Environmental Impact Assessment Report. According to the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation, it is clearly stated that the company that prepares the Environmental Impact Assessment Report cannot prepare the Project Progress Report for the same project.
